Our story.

Puget Sound Health Partners was founded in 2007 by local doctors to serve people on Medicare. Our first members became effective on January 1, 2008 and we were named the number one new Medicare Advantage plan in the country based on enrollment. We proudly serve our members with a 95% rate of retention after our first year of operations and we constantly strive to improve our member's experience.

Owner Organizations

Northwest Physician's Network, LLC (NPN) - Tacoma, is a multi-specialty independent physicians association (IPA) comprised of 258 physician owners and over 150 contracted specialty, ancillary and hospital providers. Since 1995, NPN's delivery system has provided coordinated care to individuals in Pierce and south King counties. Currently, NPN is serving over 15,000 individuals; including 2,000 who are seniors within Medicare Advantage. NPN's independent physicians and its contracted partners are working together to improve health care in their communities by assuring access to the highest quality of care with the financially responsible use of health care resources.

Physicians of Southwest Washington, LLC (PSW) - Olympia, is an independent physicians association (IPA) established in 1995. Founded by local primary care and specialist physicians to provide continuity of health plan and provider coverage to patients, assure that local providers controlled utilization management decisions, and assure that providers were paid fairly and promptly for services. PSW currently is fully delegated for claims, UM, and credentialing for approximately 1800 Medicare Advantage members. PSW has direct contracts with approximately 250 local medical providers, including physician owners and local hospitals, physician and ancillary service providers.
